Our commitment to confidentiality
Confidentiality is one of the cornerstones of my professional practice. Everything you share during our sessions will be treated with respect, sensitivity and confidentiality.
My aim is to offer a safe space where you can freely explore your thoughts, emotions, experiences and personal difficulties.
Personal data protection
Inner Balance Counselling complies with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and with the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).
Personal data collected will be used solely to manage enquiries, appointments and the provision of counselling services.
Secure storage of information
All personal and professional information is stored using reasonable security measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss or improper disclosure.
Online sessions
When sessions are held online, I use platforms that offer appropriate privacy and security measures.
Although no digital system can guarantee absolute security, reasonable steps are taken to protect the confidentiality of communications.
Limits of confidentiality
Confidentiality may only be limited in exceptional circumstances, such as:
- Serious and immediate risk to your own safety.
- Serious and immediate risk to the safety of others.
- A legal obligation imposed by a competent authority.
Should any of these situations arise, I will try to speak with you beforehand whenever possible before sharing any information.
Professional supervision
As part of an ethical and responsible practice, I regularly take part in professional supervision.
During this process, no information that could identify the people I work with is ever shared.
