Gestalt and Person-Centred Counsellor working Relationally from a Humanistic-Integrative and Existential Perspective

I accompany personal growth processes from Carl Rogers' Person-Centred approach, enriched by Gestalt and the Existential-Phenomenological perspective. I believe change happens when we find a safe space where we can explore our experience with authenticity, acceptance and curiosity. My work pays special attention to the here and now: to what we feel, think, experience in the body and live in our relationships. Rather than offering answers, I accompany each person to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and to discover their own resources to face life's challenges.

My path

My interest in counselling began in 2018, sparked by a personal process of growth and transformation that allowed me to experience first-hand the value of a supportive relationship built on listening, acceptance and authenticity. That same year I started my training in Counselling Skills at Lambeth College, London, beginning a journey of personal and professional development that continues to this day.

My work is primarily grounded in Carl Rogers' Person-Centred approach, which trusts each individual's inherent capacity to grow, find meaning and develop their own resources when they feel heard and understood. This model forms the foundation of my practice and is enriched by contributions from Gestalt and the Existential-Phenomenological approach, which foster greater awareness of present experience, emotions, relationships and personal values.

I also integrate body-awareness work and a relational understanding of trauma, paying attention to how our experiences are reflected both in the body and in the way we relate to ourselves and others.

Although these approaches form the core of how I accompany people, I adapt my work to each person's unique needs, incorporating elements from other counselling models when appropriate, from an integrative perspective.

I am currently expanding my training in couples counselling through the LDPRT and as a student member of COSRT, developing my experience in accompanying individuals and couples around intimacy, sexuality and relationships.

My approach

My work is grounded in Carl Rogers' Person-Centred approach, which trusts each individual's capacity to understand themselves, grow and find their own resources in a safe, non-judgemental environment. I also integrate the Gestalt and Existential-Phenomenological lens, exploring together the here-and-now experience, self-awareness, emotions, the body and the way we relate to the world.

Why I do this

Because I've seen how a life shifts when someone truly feels heard. Because I believe emotional wellbeing isn't a luxury. And because sustaining human processes is, for me, a serious and rigorous form of care.
