Approach
How I work.
Humanistic integrative counselling isn't a technique — it's a way of being with you. These four movements describe how a process unfolds with me.
- 01
Listening
Before technique, presence. The first sessions are to understand what brings you and to build a safe space.
- 02
Exploration
We explore what shows up: emotions, thoughts, bonds, history. Without judgement, with curiosity.
- 03
Body-emotion integration
I bring in body awareness and gestalt work so what you understand is also felt and inhabited.
- 04
Consolidation
We bring what's learned into daily life, notice what shifts, and sustain the new resources over time.
Approach
Three dimensions that hold the work
Body
What language doesn't reach, the body holds. We work with breath, sensation and posture as doorways.
Emotion
Learning to recognise, name and hold what you feel without fleeing or collapsing.
Thought
Noticing the narratives that inhabit you, distinguishing the inherited from the chosen.
